This scene shows King Seti I on his throne at his coronation wearing the Atef crown and carrying the crook and flail, symbols of kingship. Behind him sits the great goddess Isis. A capable ruler, excellent field commander and energetic builder, Seti I embarked on a series of military campaign in an effort to secure the boundaries of Egypt. This particular relief is an excellent example of the high degree of refinement sculpted reliefs of the period attained. The colorful scenes in the Abydos temple and his royal tomb are the finest in the Valley of the Kings.
Measuring 29" wide by 33" high, this reproduction has excellent detail and color throughout - the cracks showing in the wall behind the image particularly lend to its authentic feel.
